Trust a song like Gas Mask to give me the oxygen of publicity. I thought I'd explain just in case there are any fools on the horizon: Gas Mask is set during the Blitz. The lights are out, there's no running water, and it's about that moment when we almost wish our oppressors would win, just to get the oppression over with. It's an MP3. I do not imagine it will offend or trouble anyone except the humourless. Therefore possibly old-style record companies. Politically it's an intentional conundrum. Although there are explicit Germanic references, a right-wing nationalist would abhor the song. Particularly as the singer is exposed and ridiculed at the end. Personally I love the UK and the freedom of speech and thought that OK's a song like Gas Mask. Ultimately it's a test of and a testiment to that.
